Celebrating 65 Years
For over 65 years Hackman's has had a ministry, servicing a community looking for trusted products that represent Christian family values.

J. Walter Hackman loved books; As a Christian, he was interested in making Christian books and Bibles available to everyone. In 1947 he began to drive door-to-door with his products. In 1948, he designed a truck and had it built to his specifications, to complete his mission. Today, Hackman's is known throughout the Lehigh Valley and far beyond; thanks to the hard work and devotion of J. Walter and Ruth Hackman and their son, Joe and his wife Marcia. Hackman's has grown to a 20,000 square foot facility at 1341 Mickley Road in Whitehall, PA.

Celebrating 65 years in the business is so meaningful to the hackmans. The staff works with people at some of the saddest times in their lives and some of the happiest times! And the joy the store has brought generations of customers comes from providing those life-changing resources someone needs at just the right time. "One legacy we have in the community is that we just love people," says Marcia. "And we want to continue to be a light in this community."
